Your pro pedigree?

I was in marketing area, then I worked for big fashion and accessories groups. I have worked for Boucheron for ten years, I was the Haute Joaillerie Manager.

 

How did you get the idea of your business?

Firstly it was a desire of having more flexible agenda since I was a mother. But I have dreamt of having my own business since always. I had the idea in 2013, one year and a half before the creation. I met my partner at Boucheron. And we decided to create it during a lunch break!

 

The creation has always been obvious to you?

It was more a step-by-step process. By dint of observation of the creators, I decided to design my own jewelry. Jewelry that I would like to wear and that would be more affordable while still having beautiful stones and a true knowledge behind.

 

When and how do you come up with your ideas?

A little bit every day! But there is always a new stone that is the cause of a new collection or a jewel.

And there is a link between all our creations: entwined gold.

 

Your brand in a nutshell

Most of all, I thought of women by creating it. I wanted them to be able to buy affordable jewelry for themselves. That it why we like to work with different kinds of stones, not only the precious ones, like diamonds. It’s also possible to purchase our earrings individually.

There is also a playful side in jewelry we create. They are interchangeable, can be used in 1000 ways, we can reinvent them every day!

It’s the “fine jewelry”.

 

Everyone dreams of this “second” carreer life but not everyone takes action: how did you do it?

It was first of all a meeting: between my business partner and me. I also tried to leave my workplace in good terms – I spent there 10 years of my life, so it was primordial. Everyone was extremely caring.

And then a husband who has always believed in the project and pushed me into doing it!

 

Is it easier or more difficult to be a business-mom for your family organization?

I don’t know if it’s easier but I’m much more satisfied and that gives me the impression of living fully my life as a mother and a professional. I can organize my time the way I want to even if I often switch my computer on after a diner!

 

Your worst moments?

The day before our first show we were so panic-stricken to place everything! And the first producton delays. But now we understood that all the shops get used to this kind of hazards!

 

Your best moments?

Whenever we have a publication: we never get bored. And when I discover our jewelry worn by women I bump into.

 

The outfit for an important appointment?

A beautiful Saint Laurent jacket and heels that are comfortable. I need to feel free.

 

Your projects?

To continue to develop our brand so that everyone can find our jewels in the most beautiful retail stores.

 

What time do you usually wake up? What do you do?

7 a.m. and I look at my phone… So pathetic!

 

A moment “off”

Fridays starting at 4 p.m. : I spend some time with my son and think of myself. Because during the weekend I go back to work.
