AT WORK

WHEN I WERE A CHILD

I love originality, having a different touch. My mother knew how to sew, I drew.

I was buying material (most of the time in the furniture section) and we made clothes. I remember a pants in curtain material with big tulips, or a bat coat with oversize sleeves.

I used to love fashion but at that time I did’nt want to work in that field, I just wanted to make drawing studies.

At the same time my father had a theatre troup, it also pleased me a lot.

MY RESUME

I started to work at Radio France Nancy (my addiction to music lead me there). I was working on a culture programme. I loved radio. I also made a bit of TV as a comedian.

At that time I absolutly wanted to leave for Paris but when I arrived I didn’t dare continuing the radio adventure, I guess I wasn’t enought self-confident for that.

I strated to write movies scripts sold to TF1, I as working on series and full-length feature films.

I have ever loved women’s magazines, one day one of my friends gave me the courage to strike out. I wanted to work for Biba, a magazine I loved. That what I did for four years. I was writing about topics such as psycho and society, not yet in the fashion field.

Then the team has changed and I quit to go working for Jeune et Jolie.

I think that I managed to take the right opportunities. My chance was to meet the good persons.

COACHING

While I was at Jeune et Jolie I used to spend a lot of my time help my friends to dress properly. They were asking for advices and that’s how I strated my style coaching activity.

I started to work with young entrepreneurs. I immediatly loved it as I realized it was not about « relooking » or « fancy dress ». It was more about helping people finding who they are and feel better.

There is a psychologic scope that I love in my job. Clothes can be really important, they reveal the person you are.

I work with very different poeple : men or women that don’t take part in a special category.

Sometimes I do personnal shopping but most of the time they already have what they need in their closets. I help them mix it the right way, maximize their clothes using the good associations, without imperatively buying something.

I try to be educational and funny but also and almost to go against fashion diktats. No stereotype for me !

MODE PERSONNEL

On Mode Personnel I give fashion advices but more then that I really want to say « Dare ! » to all the women.

It is so important to feel well, have fun and take pleasure with your clothes. Find your style is essential whatever your age, your fit or your revenue.

The main objective of the blog is to pay attention and listen about what people have to say in order to create a real dialog. It moreover about goodwill.

VERSATILE AND HAPPY

It can be stressful but I love the fact of having several activities at the same time.

I manage Mode Personnel. I write a lot : for newspapers as Glamour but also some books with Frédéric Veysset.

I provide lessons at the ESJ (a fashion and journalisme Master). I draw, espacially for the blog (I love it). And I present a radio show called « Rhabillez-vous » at Sud Radio, on sundays at 9 AM.

I give advices to brands and design some « capsule » collections. I created 3 for Balsamik and Winter pieces for La Redoute (I was so glad they thank about me).

Anyway, I am not done with reinventing myself !

OTHER WISHES

If I had to focus on something that would be the drawing. Particularly humoristic and girly one.

I also wante to developp psychological aspects of my work. And then I dream of having my own radio show !

WORK FROM HOME

I like working from home with my music. Music has a essential space in my life, it allows me to keep being focus and relax.

I put my desk closed to the terrace : nothing can stop my eyes and imagination.

MY BIGGEST PROUDS

I am also proud of my speech, I think it is very different from others, fight against diktats and propose goowill services is a really liberating (it’s even more rare in the fashion sector).

I am glad I have succeed in this difficult field, despite my poor self-promotion abilities.

What makes me the happiest and the most proud is when one of my readers write to Mode Personnel to say I help her feeling more free.

24 HOURS A DAY CONNECTED

Yes of course ! Always on my e-mails or on the social media. It’s kind of a second nature.

FROM MY MISTAKES I LURNT

To not let myself being snatched or devour by others. I sometimes foget myself. But I am working on it.

I take breathing lessons at The Art of Living center. I also tkae a lot of yoga lessons, it helps me to take advantage on the current situation.
