IN A FEW WORDS

Independent since almost always

I started my career in the communication area: advertising, press and events since I was 18.

Very quickly I created my own agency. I think it was in my genes, my family is full of entrepreneurs. Launching your own business has always been the only model for me.

I worked with big brands like Sony, l’Oréal, Accor, Oracle, Lego…

My new activity

I wanted to combine what I already now and my passion to become an “Art Advisor”. I don’t like the word “agent” that has a mercantile connotation.

So my idea is to promote artists that I like to galleries, art centers, companies. And to take care of their communication. I’m signing with several of them, including super talented Jean-Christophe Belaud.

My advice

If you want to start your own collection, you need to focus on your own emotions above all. You need to buy only a “love at first sight”!

Remember that the eye gets “educated” with galleries, fairs and museums. Don’t hesitate to discuss, to talk and to go to openings where the artists are much more available. That is where I met them.

My office

I work from home and have no problem with it because I’m rather rigorous. I love to work in the morning. I’m usually at 8 a.m. in front of my computer. I also invite artists here.

It’s an open space which is obvious because my personal and professional lives are related.

Working here in peace and in the middle of my works of art, it’s a real happiness!

The organization I support

For 4 years I work on a communication of an organization from Marseille I am very attached to: “Voeux d’Artistes”. It has a dual purpose: to offer well-being moments for ill children form the pediatric oncology service and to promote the contemporary artists by making them more accessible. Every year we create an exhibition, we present a hundred of artists who create a work that will be sold for 115 euros. A part of it goes to the association to provide children a better daily life: boat trips, dance lessons etc.

An important project

To open a place dedicated to art in order to expose and receive artists. Either in an ephemeral way or in a residence. They could exchange, expose…

It would probably be outside Paris to have a little bit more space but also because in Nantes, Lyon and elsewhere there are many things happening in contemporary art.

What would you have magically changed?

I wouldn’t have waited 30 years to start it!
