IN A FEW WORDS
We had decided to choose this apartment during only one evening… It was a real heart-throb!
We fell in love with its volums, its height and with the neighborhood of Palais Royal.
For me, the decoration is anything but a serious matter. I like different associations for example those of an expensive furniture with a very cheap one, a chic object with a kitch one. In our living room we have for instance a Bertoia chair with a shoes display that has become our coffee table. A poster next to a photo bought in an art gallery. I love playing with codes.
I also like to have things in my interior that normally shouldn’t be there: a neon sign of an optician shop bought in India that we use as a light in the kitchen or a taxi traffic sign that we have put on the microwave.
I buy a lot of heart-throbs and I’m very attached to them. Once they’re at home, it’s impossible for me to get rid of them. I have a collector soul.
I like to match them all together. I love to create little “animations” that we can find everywhere in the apartment… if we look closely!
As soon as I have some free time, because most of the time I’m between two flights, I visit all Marais galleries. Creation is my great passion.
I also like flea markets, the one of Vanves that surprises me, especially all kinds of useless items like my little cars on my kitchen windowsill. What are they doing there? I don’t really know but in the same time that makes me smile every time I look at them.
